But what is it exactly.

AI content repurposing is using AI to edit videos, caption them, identify clips that may gain notoriety, reformat them in the platform's preferred dimensions, and cut them into clips for short-term usage.

This is taking one medium or long-form video and turning it into 5+ clips.

Taking the video or its transcripts and creating a blog post entry.

Putting the video and the blog in your email.

Posting and scheduling posts to social media.

One piece of content is distributed to many different platforms with AI.

So, you can live your life and let the bots do the heavy lifting.

Sample Workflow

How do you go from a goldmine of content in your camera roll to actually sharing your presence in the world?

I use Descript, which is an AI video editing and repurposing platform.

Descript basics

You can choose to upload from your computer, import from Zoom, record directly in the platform, paste a YouTube link, or create an AI avatar.

After you upload the video, you can name the project. That is what Descript uses as folders.

Text-Based editing

Once the video is uploaded, Descript transcribes the video.

As a text-based editor, Descript provides you the ability to edit the video based on the words you delete.

You can use the transcripts to create blogs or content for Facebook and LinkedIn.

One of the amazing features of Underlord (Descript's AI assistant) is the option to remove filler words or the option to edit for clarity. This removes filler words, rants, and retakes.

Descript attempts to help filter audio. They call it studio sound. I am still playing with it because it sounds like your talking underwater.

The premise of it is phenomenal. It takes audio and makes it sound like it was recorded with high-end audio equipment.

You can adjust the intensity of it. Maybe you'll have better luck than I do.

Repurposing tools

Now the AI content repurposing magic really happens.

Using the create clips tool. Descript looks through sections of the video that can create traction and attention.

You can choose how many clips you want underlord to create, and how long.

You can also have underlord create a highlight reel. This is when the AI looks through the video and puts a summary based upon your goals of the project. 7

Descript can also find highlights. It is what underlord feels are the core message of your video.

Underlord can even translate the captions and dub the video in different languages. This means you can use AI content repurposing to reach audiences outside of your spoken language.

Export options

Descript has many export options. You can break the video down into audio files, GIFs, the editing timeline, the transcript, and the subtitles.

You can also choose the way to gain access to your files. You can use the link, or download it locally, or you can upload it directly to your platform of choice.

You can choose to export all of the compositions at once, but that is pretty slow. If you press the download it is the most time efficient option.
